Burly undersized forward Mark Guillen pumped in 20 points and injected energy to the ChiChi Albayanos WildCatz, who posted a 107-99 triumph over the GuangZhou Loong Lions Saturday in The Asian Tournament Leg 2 at the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna.
Guillen’s steady game proved to be timely as he provided the solid inside presence needed by the WildCatz.
Bassier Sackor tallied the same output of 20 markers while Ray Miller Jr. had a double-double showing of 19 points and 20 boards in a dominant showing all game long.
Two other local players — Adrian Celada and Joshua Saret — also ended up in double figures with 15 and 12 points, respectively for the WildCatz, who produced 68 points inside the shaded lane, 24 more than their counterparts.
GuangZhou hit 13 three-point shots, but was outrebounded by Chichi Albayanos, 49-34.
